What is Operation Ruckmas?
Operation Ruckmas is more than a holiday campaign; it’s a mission inspired by personal experience and a commitment to making sure every child and senior, regardless of their circumstances, feels the warmth of the season. Growing up in group homes for abused children, I saw how difficult the holidays can be for those without family. Every year, we would write down our needs and wants, but often we were left hoping for a miracle.
When I founded #DYGAR?, I wanted to ensure that kids in similar situations would receive something during Christmas. But as I reflected, I realized that elderly people, especially those in nursing homes, are often forgotten during the holidays too. They, too, deserve to feel cared for.
For the past five years, Operation Ruckmas has raised and distributed over 5,000 toys and supplies to children and seniors across the Treasure Coast. Our mission is simple: no one should be left behind during the holidays.
We are not bound by county lines—our kindness reaches as far as it can go, ensuring that every person, young or elderly, gets to experience the joy of the season.
